Materials Manager - (2104792) at ON Semiconductor in Hudson, NH
Description onsemi is in search of a Materials Manager. This person will manage inventory of raw materials and other supplies used in our company. This person will manage materials and inventory planning functions, provide support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements. This person also interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of materials for production orders to meet shipments. The Materials Manager position will be based in Hudson, NH and will report to the Director of Supply Chain. Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements. Establishes procedures and supervises the cycle counting and physical inventory programs. Supervises direct reports day-to-day performance of their jobs, evaluate and coach subordinates. Interfaces with operation managers on the planning and forecasting of materials to meet production demand. Analyzes material consumption against the plan and adjust supply plan accordingly. Maintains relationships and negotiate with key suppliers Directs the purchase of supplies and materials according to specifications and the production plan. Communicates supply plans to management. Identifies excess and obsolete inventory and communicates to finance. Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions. Other duties as needed or assigned. Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field. 5 or more years' experience in supply chain role or related experience in a manufacturing environment. 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience. Ability to lead team members. Customer service oriented. Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems. Knowledgeable of forecasting and budgeting. Experience in shipping and receiving. Working knowledge of SAP MM. Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude., with the ability to solve problems swiftly. Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact at all organizational levels both inside and outside GT. High sense of urgency drive and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic and collaborative environment. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external contacts.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
