Job Description The SEAS factory in Hudson NH has a great development opportunity for an individual seeking to move from a touch labor role and progress along a path to an engineering disciplineSEAS-Sensors and Electronic Attack Systems is a 50000 square foot focus factory specializing in Systems Integration (electro-mechanical box build) and test of complex systems that protect those who protect usThe selected candidate will develop detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions, routings, visual aids, SOPs, procedures, and manufacturing support documentation from engineering prints, parts lists, ECOs, schematics, wire lists, etcto be used in the manufacture of complex electro-mechanical assembliesYou will also provide general manufacturing engineering assistance to process engineers and manufacturing personnelMore specifically the role involves:
1Studies routine manufacturing operations such as wiring, mechanical assembly, harnessing, soldering, box build etc.
, to determine the most efficient sequence of operations to be followed to build complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
2Examines assembly blueprints to plan the sequence of operations required to build equipment efficiently and economically.
3Itemizes steps to be followed in the manufacturing process and develops visual aids for each assembly operation to enable production operator to build equipment without the use of engineering drawings.
4Develops detailed routing (flow) and process sheets depicting workstation layout, materials required, proper sequences and correct method of assembly, special work instructions, tooling and fixtures required, and time allowed to assemble each unitInputs required assembly data into computerized manufacturing support software.
5Uses CAD software packages to manipulate engineering drawings for clarification of procedures within processes.
6Uses digital media to include labeled photographs and images for assembly methods within processes.
7Inputs data into, and updates, WEB-based manufacturing execution systems as necessary for engineering change orders or process change requests.
8Revises process sheets and visual aids to reflect latest engineering requirements, manufacturing techniques, methods, tooling and time standards using engineering documentation, ECOs, verbal and written communication from engineers9Observes the operations being followed by production operators to validate instructions and initiates necessary changes to improve operation effectiveness, efficiency, and product quality.
10May instruct, assign work to, and verify for completeness and accuracy, the work of other employees.
11Performs other manufacturing engineering duties and responsibilities as required and as the individual demonstrates capability to undertake more advance activitiesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Must be hands-on with a strong mechanical aptitude and a demonstrated understanding of how to put things together3-5 years extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment assembling complex hardware while working closely with production engineering support groups is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills are requiredStrong computer skills are a mustRequires excellent capabilities in the use of Microsoft office tools and computer applications in generalRequires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of personnel in a team- based environmentRequires an individual interested in working in a hands-on capacity in a dynamic manufacturing environmentMust be DOD Secret eligiblePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Prior experience developing process instructions and support documentation for the assembly of complex electro-mechanical devices, cables, chassis, subassemblies, modules, and/or systems is preferredHigh School and Some progress toward a college degree and plans for completion are also preferredPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:
$61050 - $97680 Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structuresHowever, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
