Position
Summary:
As a Buyer at Granite State Indoor Range and Gun Shop, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely procurement of goods and materials essential for our operations.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a wide range of products, while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Your keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and strategic approach will contribute to our company's continued success and growth.
This is a part-time position, working up to 20 hours per week on weekdays.
You will have a flexible schedule that you can curate to yourself within the limits of our business hours and ensuring that you are completing all tasks as needed.
Essential Functions Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery speed.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal value for the company.
Coordinate with managers and staff to understand procurement needs and requirements.
Generate purchase orders and manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and track supply chain performance to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting procurement.
Resolve supplier issues, discrepancies, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information in the procurement system.
Uphold ethical standards and compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.

Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably within the firearms industry (but not required).
Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost-saving initiatives.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
