A highly qualified Design Checker is needed to ensure that our clients final product meets all requirements before leaving the Design and Drafting area. You must ensure the accuracy and completion of engineering data in accordance with design solutions, customer specifications and established standards.
Must have hands on experience in the mechanical design/drafting profession. With 2
years experience specifically in a checking function/role. No clearance is required.
Other Duties &
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of materials methods, vendor products, and trade literature, to ensure proper selection and identification of component parts. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule.
Ability to check for compliance against the following:
MIL-STD-31000A, ASME Y14.100, ASME Y14.24 (Types and Applications of Drawings).
ASME Y14.S-1994 (Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Familiarity with MIL-STD-31000A
Intermediate proficiency with Dassault Systems ENOVIA PDM Version 6.
PTC CREO Parametric 2.0 and Intralink 10.1. 7.
Dassault Systems ENOVIA PDM Version 6. 8.
Education /
Experience:
Bachelors in a technical field with a minimum of 4 years experience.
Associates in a technical field with a minimum of 15 years experience.
