Entry Level RF Engineer

Entry level electrical engineering position in the area of Radio Frequency (RF) design and test. Primary duties and responsibilities will include performing electrical design, primarily in the areas of RF and analog, but occasionally digital. Utilize engineering design tools in support of electrical design such as analysis/simulation software packages (ADS, Microwave Office, etc). Perform electrical lab tests to formal written procedures as well as to informal direction from other engineers. Duties will include interpreting and developing test procedures and providing written and oral status reports. Testing will involve electrical/RF troubleshooting of circuit cards, modules, and electrical boxes. Position involves working closely on a small or large team of electrical engineers, system engineers, and technicians. This also includes work with mechanical engineers and draftsman in support of the mechanical design of our products. This job will involve writing specifications for custom designed vendor supplied RF components such as filters, power dividers, couplers, and oscillators. Preparation of presentation material for and participation in design reviews will be required, both internal and for external customers.
Required Skills and Education
BS Electrical Engineering
Experience through internships or coursework with RF test equipment and procedures such as: Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Noise Figure Meter.
Ability to obtain and hold a DoD Secret security clearance.
An ability to effectively document and communicate designs, results, reports, and presentations. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer skills in basic Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
Preferred Skills and Education
Interest in the RF domain and electromagnetics.
Current active Secret DoD clearance.
Experience in any of the above listed functions of the job.
